Note: two-year terms; 5 members (2 HUM, 2 SS, 1 Dean Appointment; maximum 1 representative per department).

The CHASS Faculty Development Committee shall focus its work on the professional development of the CHASS faculty’s teaching, research, and service. The Committee will facilitate the University’s mission and vision to strengthen University of Detroit Mercy as a center of academic, research, and service excellence.

This committee reports to the Executive Board and to the faculty assemble as appropriate. The committee consists of seven members, as follows:

• Two Humanities tenured representatives
• Two Social Studies representatives
• One representative Dean’s Appointment, one-year term
• Humanities and Social Science are two-year terms
• Note: Elected for two-year terms
• Note: 1 representative per department
